SUSPENSION INTOLERANCE STRAP

The Dromex®, suspension intolerance leg strap is an invaluable fall arrest system
accessory as it is used by a victim of fall arrest to combat the ill effects of suspension trauma,
by alleviating and relocating pressure on the body while the user waits for his/her rescue,
suspended in his/her harness providing the comfort of standing.
This suspension leg straps function by re-directing the blood pressure exerted by the
weight of the body on to the legs, preventing pooling of blood and pressure in leg arteries,
allowing circulation into the heart and brain.
Without the suspension strap, within a few minutes whilst awaiting rescue, the user can
experience the following health conditions: unconsciousness’s, dizziness, nausea, heart
palpitations and possibly death.
This suspension device features the following:
• A compact and light-weight pouch deigned with TPU material which is hard wearing and
sturdy in nature, does not hamper the activity of the user while at work.
• Allows the suspended worker to stand up in his harness to relieve pressure on his legs.
• Easy to attach to the harness between the waist and thigh areas with the help of the
textile loop provided.
• The pouch consists of a concealed zipper, which gives a better aesthetic look as well as
strength & long life to the product. Its large robust zip runner, provides grip and a
stronger feel, making it perfect for use with gloves.
• Made from black polyester webbing, the strap features red loop markings that allows for
quicker and easier identification and installation of the buckle into loop in an emergency.
• Simple deployment.
• In the event of a fall, the victim can easily zip-open the pouches and attach the deployed
webbing straps with the help of a convenient buckle.
• Once deployed the textile loops on the legs straps allow for adjustment to the height of
the worker.
